| From the broadcast
the weekend of Nov. 1st & 2nd, 2008: |
Our Featured Artists on this program, the Inspirations, have long
been one of the best-known Southern Gospel quartets out there. They've been
able to maintain a consistent and very identifiable sound, partly because
some group members have been there for most or all of the years they've been
singing. Their new CD, "How Great It Is," illustrates this. If you're
into quartet singing if you actually sing, I mean you probably
found Martin Cook's description of how they arrange their music quite
interesting. We didn't use the part of his quote in which he said the bass
line is the easiest to find and sing. (It makes sense that it would be,
since that's the only line, other than melody, that I usually can pick
out.) More information about the Inspirations can be found on their website,
www.theinspirations.com.
The Inspirations' CD featured on this program, "How Great It Is,"
is available from our mailorder service, Springside. Just call 1-800-38-MUSIC
to order. You can order easily from our webstore by
using this
link to go directly to this item. (Orders over $40 in the USA qualify
for free shipping.)
Thanks to Tim Lovelace for making 90 copies
of his Comedy DVD available to give away to listeners. We'd like to send
you one. Just use the online entry form below to enter for the drawing. By
the way, Tim recently recorded a brand new comedy DVD (Shelia and I were
there for the taping) and it's also hilarious.
Kevin Spencer's "God Bless America Again" song heard on this
broadcast is being offered as a free download to anyone who wants
it. He is NOT selling it. For information and to download, go to his website,
