the weekend of Aug. 30th & 31st, 2008: |
Our Featured Artists on this broadcast were the trio Eighth Day. They
are Joni and Scott Robinson and 25-year old Dave Mann,
who joined the group earlier this year. Joni has a very distinctive voice
that fits well with either Southern Gospel or Country Gospel music. Although
"Headin' Home," the CD that includes three of the four Eighth Day
songs featured on this broadcast, is only their sophomore album, it certainly
has been well received. In fact, as you heard, "Rolled Away Stone"
is number 18 on the Singing News chart for September. Scott says,
"We have received so much feedback from across the country of how God
is using that song to encourage folks." On their website

says, "We are here for the long haul." And Joni adds, "We don't
necessarily understand why God chose the trust us with His ministry, but
rest assured we understand the task at hand. We need to save the lost, one
song at a time."
The song that we included that people are already talking about the most
is the one called "Hannah's Song." (This song is not on the "Headin'
Home" CD but, rather, was recorded on a separate CD. For a limited time,
